Helping a church deal with the transition between a long-term dearly loved installed minister and a new minister to come. This is a time of grieving, celebrating, discernment of the ministry to which the church is called and seeking someone who can help them live into that discernment and ministry.

Administered the Field Education program, overseeing the pairing of students with site, advising sites and students on the process, interviewing students and processing site applications. Trained group leaders and Teaching Parish Committees. Worked with other Field Education directors in the Boston Theological Institute. Addressed problems that arose for students. Served as a full faculty member with classroom teaching and committee responsibilities. Worked with a faculty committee exploring ways the changing situation of Field Education in the life of the School. Preached and assisted with worship in chapel.
