Involved in ensuring environmental compliance is being achieved at all 3 sites in accordance with regulatory requirements, environmental obligations and reporting commitments, as well as all formal benefit-sharing agreements with Indigenous groups. I have both led and facilitated with permitting requirements for EMA, Mines Act and other permits, being part of a multi-disciplinary team composed of site-based personnel and regional/company employees. This includes managing several large site-based projects pertaining to a borrow-pit expansion and a landfill realignment/extension, which also involved being the lead in the document submission and permitting requirement process. I have helped manage site Environmental teams at Endako and Kemess, as well as providing oversight to the Mount Milligan Environmental team. I have been a part of End Land-Use planning workshops and have participated in planning for revegetation and other reclamation programs. I have also participated in Water Quality Working Group meetings, working closely with hired consultants to meet Continuous Improvement Framework initiatives and meet Site Performance Objectives at the Endako site. As part of Mines Act permit commitments, I have helped draft a Medium-Term Best Available Technology Assessment for Endako Mine, which included a preliminary investigation into both potential in-pit and passive water treatment options.

Sept-Dec/2020, was co-Instructor for MINE 491 (Mine and Plant Engineering Design Feasibility Study), as well as helping with the online delivery of MINE 291 (Introduction to Mining) and MINE 310 (Surface Mining and Design).Jan-April/2021: taught the graduate course MINE 541 (Environmental Risk Assessments in Relation to Mining). Snap Lake Mine In The Northwest Territories

The mine has been undergoing Environmental Care and Maintenance prior to initiating full-scale closure and decommissioning in 2022. I was responsible for helping to coordinate water quality compliance in accordance with the Water License, which included sampling at Surveillance Network Program points, ARD bog areas, Tailings Facility cells, Perimeter Sumps, Water Management Pond, Water Intake location from Snap Lake, including the Potable Drinking Water line, and the Discharge line back into Snap Lake after undergoing water treatment.In addition to sampling for physical-chemical parameters, ions, nutrients, organics, microbiology, biota, and both dissolved and total metal concentrations, Acute and Chronic Toxicity of the water intake and discharge points were performed on a monthly and quarterly basis, respectively. The Chronic Toxicity testing performed on the discharge line had to be coordinated together with Golder, who has been conducting the Aquatic Effects Monitoring Program, including water quality and biological sampling of the aquatic food chain in Snap Lake and its tributaries within the hydrographic basinDaily Environmental and Sump Level Reports had to be submitted, as well as monthly SNP Reports to the regulators. Geo-Technical Assessments of the Tailings Facility, Dams, and Water Management Pond were conducted regularly in order to ensure the structural integrity of these key components. Data readings from piezometers, thermistors and vibrating wires were analyzed to detect structural changes, including signs of subsidence and thawing of the permafrost. Monthly reports of the Tailings Facility included bi-monthly crack monitoring of the cells to ensure that any subtle changes in the overlay did not reflect more serious concerns regarding deeper materials. Passive monitoring of atmospheric contamination on-site was conducted through the use of dustfalls and sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide samplers.
