About Bruce Patrick

Friendly, enthusiastic and dedicated property professional with over 30 years experience in commercial and residential markets across the UK. During my career I have been fortunate enough to work in commercial and operational capital markets, agency, property and asset management and most recently mixed use development. A focus on ideas, creativity and learning has enabled me to work across traditional commercial, alternative, operational and residential property markets. In 2017, I set up a team at Savills in Glasgow which was focused on mixed use development where I worked collaboratively with colleagues, clients and other property professionals on a range of projects. Key clients during this time included Landsec, University of Glasgow, Glasgow School of Art, Drum, Ediston, Network Rail, Orion Capital Managers, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Dundee City Councils, Ambassador Group, Motcomb Estates, KR-Developments, Peel L&P, Global Mutual and Warehouse REIT.In 2024, I left Savills to set up MATH Real Estate Partners to further extend my work on development and investment projects to include a much greater focus on social impact and benefiting the common good.

Director, Head Of Mixed Use And Commercial Development Scotland

Glasgow, United Kingdom

Latterly, I headed up a Mixed Use Development Team in Scotland. The objective being to take a leading role in envisioning, developing and funding the next generation of prime residential and commercial buildings across Scotland. We are working on over fifteen developments extending to 5 million sqft with an estimated GDV in excess of £3Bn. Key projects include development and investment advice to Glasgow University, the redevelopment of Buchanan Galleries, the purchase and sale of the Met Tower, the first institutional funding of a PRS BTR block in Scotland known as Solasta at Buchanan Wharf and the redevelopment of the former RBS office and data room complex at New Town North, Edinburgh for PRS BtR, private residential for sale and office use. The mixed-use team have also developed a specialism in the repurposing of shopping centres, retail and leisure property having advised on over three million sqft of assets in the last three years. We are also working with our research and agency teams on initiatives to help Councils regenerate high streets across Scotland. Using my background in commercial investment and working closely with colleagues in our operational capital markets team we were the first team to advise on an institutionally funded PRS BtR development in Scotland (Solasta at Buchanan Wharf). We have built on this initial experience and are now advising on the development and funding of 1,000's of PRS BtR (and PBSA) units across Scottish markets. I have 15 years experience in commercial capital markets. I used my previous property management experience to focus on large multi-let assets for debt backed and equity investors. During this time, I transacted c.£2Bn on behalf of clients across commercial, alternative and residential markets. I was also Head of the Glasgow office of Savills for 10 years until 2018 and have worked extensively with Red Sky Management on my personal skills and development.
