We like craft beer, A LOT. We like it so much that we became home brewers. Home brewing turned into meetings with other home brewers and drinking A LOT of craft beer. Which took us on an adventure all over Michigan, camping out with other brewers and getting a taste of the craft beer life. Our love of the craft beer adventure and hitting the open road eventually led us home again to the best business venture possible: a brewery in our home town! The OpenRoad Brewery is a home away from home where you can drink craft beer, meet some neat people and get a taste of adventure from the open road.

Daily management of a coffeehouse. Duties include: property management, inventory control, marketing, merchandising, employee recruitment, training, and mentoring. Accounting duties include budget management, bookkeeping, record keeping, payroll and tax management.

Launched and managed five video rental stores in secondary markets throughout the Grand Rapids, Michigan area. Provided overall direction of all retail operations to ensure success and profitability. Developed store policies and procedures, and strategic marketing plans to propel sales. Developed plan to manage inventory and store operations in a manner that maximized sales and profit potential to exceed goals and objectives. Adequately equipped stores with staff associates and provided proper training to new employees with regard to company guidelines. Represented company in vendor / supplier negotiations. Provided leadership and examples of proper management style and culture to five store managers, 25-30 store associates, an office and marketing manager. Managed operations budget and expenses.
