Since April of 2009, Bruce Conklin has served as a sworn officer with the Colorado Rangers, a statutorily-authorized, statewide law enforcement auxiliary which is currently now a state POST shared reserve police government agency. He was enrolled in one of the first POST Reserve police academies, but due to issues from Jeep rollover accident years ago in Aspen, Bruce took his 10 year honorary retirement after four months of classes, but will continue to assist in admin duties with the new agency as needed. Since March of 2015, he has also worked as a badged volunteer with Parker Police as Records Tech/Front Desk personnel. Due to the Chinese virus, duties at Parker Police have been suspended. Bruce’s background includes five years as a Volunteer Coordinator/Co-Director with the USO at Denver International Airport, in support of the United States military until late 2014. He previously worked for 24 years as a Partner and Executive Vice President of a San Francisco Mortgage Bank with annual loan volume of $1.5B plus and with personal loan production averaging $200M per year! He worked in the restaurant/nightclub business in L.A. and Aspen for 15 years prior to his banking career. Bruce is a graduate of the Parker Police Civilian Academy (May 2014) and also graduated as a CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) first responder with the Parker Police Department (October 2014). In May of 2015, he graduated from the Denver FBI Civilian Academy and is an alumni. Just recently (06/18) Bruce graduated from the inaugural 10 week ATF Civilian Academy held in Denver. On 6th of May 2017, Bruce graduated Community College of Aurora with an AAS degree in Criminal Justice. He was also awarded Summa Cum Laude. Bruce is now attending Metro Denver University as a Senior, working toward his BS degree in CRJ. Bruce is happily married to Mallary. His son Skyler, is a Captain in the Air National Guard at Buckley and has served for 22 years so far!
