Successfully established and operate an antiques acquisition and resale sole proprietorship. Made full use of technology in order to establish an online presence, develop a customer base, sell on-line and process shipping to customers.

System Analyst for the Oracle custom application Health and Other Benefits System (HOBS). Responsibilities focused on new client implementations into the system. This included working with business teams to develop implementation schedules; running test jobs and conducting the actual load of client data into HOBS. This involved work with an Oracle application running in a UNIX system; SQL scripting and the execution of scripts & test cases. Programmer/Business Analyst for the ProSupport system is used for Software Release Management for FESCO Health &Welfare department and was built with Lotus Notes. My responsibilities centered on planning and executing a major redesign of the ProSupport system. This included working on all areas of the SDLC, participating/leading the requirements gathering process and development work in Lotus Notes.

Co-Project Manager for Project “LINKS,” which represents Datex-Ohmeda’s entrance into CRM / Sales Force Automation. Actively involved in the SDLC Analysis Phase of the project. Responsibilities included planning and conducting all methods used for data gathering, including a 3 day RA Session. This involved the development of the project budget, negotiations with vendors, and management of budget revisions. At the conclusion of the Analysis Phase my team presented the project plan to the CEO and senior staff of Datex-Ohmeda. The appropriation for $2.6 million was approved. Co-managed team during the definition and coordination of the Implementation Project Timeline. This covered all areas of the project from server hardware through end-user training and outsourcing of documentation and hardware. Programmer responsible for the development work in Lotus Notes and of custom MS Access databases, used for various purposes, from tracking sales rep assignments to managing the employee tracking needs of the HR department.

Managed the entire life cycle of the Laptop Automated Aids Positioning System (LAAPS). The program is designed to receive real-time data feeds via satellites tasked as part of the Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS). This provided on-scene information to Coast Guard Buoy tenders, to assist in placing navigational aids and capture all legally required data. Responsibilities for this project required acting as both the lead developer and project manager. This involved defining the scope of the various phases of the project, developing the timelines, presenting plans to CG management for approval, tracking the budget and managing the outsourcing of duplication for software and user documentation.Lead Developer of Laptop Automated Aids Positioning System (LAAPS) to develop the program, define QA testing plan and execute the plan. Acting in this dual capacity allowed me to guide the program through two successful deployments. The program is still currently used throughout the Coast Guard on all of their Buoy Tenders.
