I am a qualified Marine Diesel Fitter, with 25 years experience. I am currently the director of my own company, Minitech Engineering Services (PTY) LTD, which went public in 2020.My previous posting was as Technical manager at Hesper Engineering as head of the technologies division. Previous to that was international service engineer for Sturrock Grindrod and Senior Mechanic/Maintenance Supervisor for Expro Group. This position situated in Rabi, Gabon under contract to Shell. My previous mechanical post was chief mechanic in charge of a 32MW propulsion plant aboard a South African Naval Meko class corvette. This included creating running of planned maintenance system, overhaul and repairs of equipment as required and ordering and maintaining stock levels. I have had a crew of up to 10 staff under my supervision. This involved caring for all of their career planning, requests and personnel issues and performance assessments.At present, I have 3 years offshore experience as a slickline operator with EXPRO, 6 years in total in oil and gas. I have however served sea time of twelve years on naval vessels. In short: I work well as part of a team and as team leader. I work well under pressure. I am honest, reliable and have strong moral values. My past work record indicates that I am hungry for knowledge in any field that I become involved.
