Projects at Levi Lubarsky (NYC)-a publishing industry antitrust investigation documents review using Xerox platform that involved documents coding, attorney client and work product privileges analysis and redactions, and privilege log preparation; and Cravath (NYC) document review, using the Relativity platform, including responsiveness and privilege analysis, as well as deposition preparation support, in context of FTC Clayton Act review of a proposed merger in the mortgage servicing/title insurance industries, and where very high productivity led to our meeting a tight deadline.My private practice has included preparing wills, codicils, durable powers of attorney, health care proxies, and living wills; doing some probate work; representing parties in co-op apartment purchases and sales; and providing advice regarding such matters as identity theft, litigation strategy, and business succession.

Litigated multiple securities class action and shareholder derivative cases. Work in these cases included managing discovery, legal research and brief drafting, client counseling, motion practice, document reviews using Concordance and Merrill LextraNet, and preparing for a mediation. Played a key role in shareholders obtaining a $303 million settlement of securities fraud claims against a Fortune 500 company and its outside auditor.

Took over leadership of team of attorneys handling City's lead paint property damage litigation and individually litigated contracts, negligence, insurance coverage, and Human Rights Commission cases. Managed securities litigations for NYC pension funds and working with inside and outside counsel helped to achieve an unprecedented $104 million in settlements in 2005 that included the WorldCom, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Qwest securities litigations.

Responsible for all phases of civil litigation, including pleadings, motion practice, depositions, court appearances, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation in a caseload that included securities arbitrations as well as actions based on negligence, medical malpractice, insurance coverage, products liability, and commercial disputes.

Responsible for the management, supervision and coordination of all LAQ and ASARCO asbestos products liability litigation in the U.S. and Canada. Substantial involvement in LAQ's commercial and insurance coverage litigations, as well as regular consultations with other legal department attorneys on environmental and general litigation matters.Member of the Board of Directors and Corporate Secretary of LAQ.
