Bruce E. Terry was President and CEO of Mayfran International, Inc., a metalworking scrap and solid waste handling equipment manufacturer, from 1987 to 2004. Earlier at Mayfran, he served four years as Executive Vice President–General Manager and four as Vice President of Sales. During his tenure, Mayfran won dozens of multi-million-dollar contracts. Mr. Terry spurred market penetration in the U.S., Japan, and Europe, negotiating numerous successful global license and technology agreements, joint ventures, partnerships, and acquisitions. He spent the first 11 years of his career as a salesman in the overhead bridge crane industry. Exceptionally talented in sales, operations, and capital management, he holds an MBA from Drexel University, a BBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and partially completed a DBA at Cleveland State University. Mr. Terry is an expert in innovation methods and was a member of the physics faculty of Case Western Reserve from January 2009 to June 2015, teaching Feasibility of Technology and Venture Creation, core courses in Case’s Science and Technology Master’s Program. He served as the faculty advisor to the Case Entrepreneurs’ Club for five years. He has been an active member of the North Coast Angel and the Northeast Ohio Innovation Funds, serving on their screening and due diligence committees; he is a mentor to and an investor in several regional start-ups and owns a modest consulting business. From 1962 through 1966, he served in the United States Air Force as a Sergeant, Intelligence Operations Specialist stationed in Texas, Nebraska, and Korea.
