During his tenure at Apache he created an award-winning community relations program that enhanced the company’s national profile and initiated productive corporate partnerships with business, government, civic and non-profit communities. As part of this innovative outreach, Bruce directed all of Apache’s national and international corporate contributions and evaluated their impact.Bruce subsequently served as the Director of the Denver International Airport Art Program where he oversaw the creation and implementation of the nation’s premier airport art program. In this capacity he was responsible for the funding, selection, installation and promotion of DIA’s $44 million public art Collection.As Chair of the Denver Commission on Cultural Affairs, Bruce led commission accomplishments including a successful campaign to create a cultural facilities tax district and the implementation of a program to allocate 1% of Denver capital improvement budgets for public art. During his tenure the Commission expanded its outreach to diverse, multi-cultural groups within the community and oversaw the creation of the Denver Cultural Plan - a model throughout the United States.Later, Bruce guided the Board of the Wyoming’s Laramie County Library Foundation in their creation of a new strategic development plan. This plan swelled proceeds from fundraising initiatives, increased the endowment, and ultimately resulted in unprecedented gifts to a successful major gifts campaign.Prior to public relations, Bruce enjoyed a career as actor and director in theater, television and film based in New York and Los Angles.
