I've been in the survey industry since December 2000 and have worked all over western Canada (Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia). Most of my career has been involved with GPS (Leica, Trimble Access, Carlson, Survey Pro, SCS900 and Topcon) split between seismic and mining survey. I've done pipeline locating, oil and gas exploration, coal mining, and civil construction.During my years at the coal mines I started off as a surveyor, then became a Blast Tech. then during the shutdown years I picked up my Level 3 First Aid, Mine Rescue and Breath and Alcohol Technician tickets and became a Loss Control Officer.As Blast Tech., I designed drill patterns, processed all coal seams, stockpiles (coal & crush). Processed all daily operations reports, as well as guiding pit operations with engineering drawings controls.I produced maps for many departments on site, more notably the site wide Status Maps using Carlson software. I'm also familiar with AutoCad and Excel.
