Drawn back to the inspiring fields of clinical genomics and precision medicine from early retirement, my passion is to improve the outcomes of babies with rare genetic disease by enabling the use of rapid whole genome sequencing tests at every hospital and NICU. Professionally, I have broad experiences in the life sciences across the spectrum of working in the lab, sales, business development, technical consultation, and now strategic initiatives for clinical genomics.I have helped implement solutions to overcome the barriers involved in many areas: drug discovery and development pipelines (small molecule and biologics), basic research, and particularly using DNA sequencing clinically to improve diagnosis and inform better treatment of human disease.Personally my interests are even broader, taking me to new challenges and learning new skills in playing chamber music, violin making/repairing, astrophotography, playing with grand-children, and movie production.If you, similarly, have any of these interests, please connect with me here!
