I am currently serving as the Senior IT System Analyst with primary responsibility for Distribution Management Systems. I am also serving as the Peer Group Lead for the Entergy GIS Mapping Service team.Projects Underway: Epoch GIS based mobile inspection system for Entergy Gas Operations compliance. Deploying mobile units (Getacs) and mobile application and central web dispatch application for mandated cyclical inspections of Catholic protection, Measurement, and Leak Surveys. Developing reporting and dashboards for compliance reporting and work measurement. Projects Forming: LoadSEER for analyzing load impacts from new grid technologies to plan grid capital improvements more effectively; Resources On Demand (ROD) for incident response migration to cloud. Completed projects: Solar/BES Plant implementation; Gas SCADA replacement; Automation of field damage assessment & collection including Outage Management System (OMS) integration; Enterprise Asset Management; ESRI GIS initiatives; Team CRM & SharePoint work planning and integration; and Grid Modernization initiatives support.I serve on two architecture committees - Business and Application Architecture where I support initiatives to develop and improve process and enterprise tool adoption and use in support of an integrated SDLC.Completed re-architecture of the HP-ALM domain to adopt enterprise requirements management and automatic generation of key software lifecycle PMO deliverables - Requirements Document, SOW, High Level Design, Project Charter, and Test Plan. I also authored requirements management governance and developed training for other Business Analysts and Solution Architects.

In this role, I served as the IT Project Management Office (PMO) representative for the Entergy Nuclear IT organization. Entergy's nuclear fleet is comprised of 10 sites and 12 units across 7 states. The IT PMO has oversight for a portfolio of capital projects estimated at $80M annually. Portfolio planning and project management is accomplished using PWA\Project Server 2010. The IT PMO maintains all IT project governance\training and provides assistance to approximately 40 contract project managers executing approximately 200 IT projects annually. As the IT PMO representative supporting Nuclear IT, I supported regional program managers in business case planning and management of nuclear fleet IT infrastructure and applications projects. My role on the IT PMO required ensuring IT projects adhere to department and corporate level project governance. This was accomplished during project status updates, audits, monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and gating activities. I also served as the Lead for annual capital planning which results in a 5 year plan that is reviewed and approved annually by Entergy senior management.

Next Generation Demand Response (NGDR) was the largest component of the Progress Energy Smart Grid Program and comprised over $300M of the total $528M program value. I was responsible for all IT&T work planned and executed for the NGDR project. I managed a large team (25 staff) of architects, engineers, telecom engineers, project managers, developers, and business analysts. Additionally, I was responsible for risk management, budgets & funding, and schedule development & execution for IT work streams. As part of the NGDR leadership team I also supported key business functions including Change Management and Business Process Mapping, Quality Assurance and Control, and Vendor\Contract Administration. I had primary responsibility in negotiation of the master contract and all amendments for IT related products & services. I also served a key role in the establishment of the Smart Grid PMO as the primary author of the Program Gating Procedure, Change Management Procedure and Quality & Testing Strategy for the entire Smart Grid program.

As Program Manager I was responsible for developing and managing the Progress Energy NERC CIP compliance program. This involved organizing a team of Generation, Transmission, IT&T, and Corporate Security specialists to develop and define our compliance program. I oversaw development of all Progress Energy compliance procedures, physical security projects, cyber security projects, and related training programs. I developed the Progress Energy NERC CIP compliance SharePoint application to manage execution of compliance activities, protected information and compliance artifacts. I lead two regulatory audits with zero non-compliances noted. I also served as PGN representative on federal and state committees for utility security practice and compliance.

As VP of Business Development, I was responsible for all commercial products developed and supported by the products company (Cyndrus). This included our Asset Decision Support (ADS) and Fleet Management System. My additional responsibilities included quality certifications (ISO 9001 and CMMI Level 2 – both obtained) and partner alliances. I managed several partner alliances including ObjectMentor, Everest Management Consultants, Andersen Chavet Anderson (ACA), and OnMarc Consulting. I established agile software development at Cyndrus and helped develop an agile services consultancy. I directly supported numerous prototyping and support engagements at client locations including: City of New Orleans, City of Slidell, New Orleans Sewerage & Water Board, Pacific Architects & Engineers (Dept of State Embassy Recruitment), Asplundh, HydroOne, FP&L, Entergy, PacifiCorp, TVA, Duke Energy, Xcel Energy, and SCANA. I held a variety of positions with Martin Marietta Manned Space Systems in support of the Space Shuttle External Tank program for over 10 years. I served as Supervisor of Facilities Management Systems from 1991 to 1992 where my responsibilities included project management, systems analysis, development of specifications, design and development of business applications, work management systems and maintenance of existing applications. I served as liaison between the user community and the Management Information Systems department; and was responsible for the specification, development, and integration of a Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRPII) application, including modifying operating methods to accommodate the purchase and implementation of a Commercial Off-the-Shelf software package. I also supervised a staff of four programmers and analysts.
