Plant conservation, curation and maintenance with a focus on threatened plants and habitats in fynbos, specifically the Critically Endangered Swartland Renosterveld of the Western Cape.

The ASA is a student run society which represents the students of the AgriScience Faculty of Stellenbosch University.The ASA also plays an important role in bridging the gap between students and lecturers. Each department in the faculty has a member of the ASA as a representative. This committee member will be there to assist with any problems that may arise within the department.

EcoMaties is a student organisation at Stellenbosch University that aims to advance sustainable practices on and around campus. The organisation is voluntarily run by students who are passionate about sustainability and minimizing our impact on the environment.The activities of EcoMaties are divided into education and action, with a variety of projects and events that tackle a broad range of environmental issues. Our education projects entail informing students about environmental issues and teaching them how to live a more sustainable student life. Our action projects are all about making permanent physical changes that reduce the impact of campus life on the environment.
