I work as a philanthropic grantmaker while started out as a financial analyst on Wall Street. As a Deputy Executive Manager at The Hong Kong Jockey Club, I develop and vet charitable grants in the area of youth development and poverty alleviation, and work with partners to amplify the Trust’s positive impact on the community.I was previously a founding Director of Operations at Character Lab, a New York-based NGO that advances scientific insights that help kids thrive. I had also been a strategy consultant. My specialty was in serving mission-oriented enterprises, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the World Bank, on social and economic issues.I am currently advising Bloom Academy, a project-based school founded by educators, entrepreneurs and engineers, and am an expert group member of CoolThink@JC, an initiative to mainstream computational thinking in Hong Kong and beyond.I hold an MPA in International Development from Harvard Kennedy School and a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT.
