Directed all aspects of Operations and Administration to include Manufacturing, Warehousing and Distribution, Information Systems, Purchasing (Domestic and Imports), Product Development, Accounting, Planning, Customer Service, with profit/loss responsibilities for a $40 million Corporation as a Corporate Officer. Restructured organization resulting in over $2,000,000 cost reduction and eventual sale of company.

Performed as a member of a 3-Member Senior management team and Board Member that restructured and reorganized an unprofitable Company into a profitable Company, and established the SHERIDAN Brand as a recognizable upscale Brand in the Home Furnishings Industry in the USA. Our sales Increased by 38.1%, profitability by 21.3% of sales, improved return on capital employed by 21.2%. Negotiated with Macy's Department Store to convert consignment boutiques to Retailer owned shops. Department Store purchased inventory in the stores and converted sales personnel to the Retailer’s payroll. Resulted in reduced working capital by $2.4 million and improved profits of 9% of sales for Sheridan Australia. Improved deliveries to customers to 95%+ on time by developing and implementing an Integrated Sales Forecasting System with Production, using historical sales data and electronic linkage to Retailers Point-of-Sale data to analyze current sales trends.

JP Stevens was a $2 billion Company focused on manufacturing and distribution of Bed and Bath Home Furnishings. My responsibility was Business and Operations Manager reporting to Company President. Directed implementation of all EDI and Quick Response Replenishment Systems with major Retailers including Sears, Wal-Mart, Dillards, JC Penney, Laura Ashley Specialty Shops, and Macy's. Made presentations to Senior Executives at Retail Stores, prepared and coordinated implementation of projects, and provided updates to Executive Steering Committees. Developed stock replenishment system with multi-billion Retailer that resulted in 130% improvement in ROII and 10% increase in regular priced retail sales. Resulted in receiving "Vendor of the Year" Award.

Started my career right out of College in Controller's Department with Burlington Industries which at that time was the largest Textile Company in the world with Sales in excess of $3 billion. During my 14 years with Burlington, I had varied Management positions in the $500 million Bed and Bath Division. My various positions were as Division Control, Division Cost Accounting Manager, Division Financial Accounting Manager, Plant Controller, Division Cost Accountant, Plant Administrative Manager, Quality Engineering Manager, and taught a 5-day Controller's Course to new Managers in Burlington Industries.
