Job description follows:Work with division Vice President to develop, write and implement communications strategies for the Agency Channel, including letters, advisories and periodic journals. Build confidence and loyalty among agency partners; promote the company’s brand; and distinguish CopperPoint’s programs and services. Help plan and coordinate annual agency loyalty trip.Ensure consistency and correct use of company’s brand in all internal/external communications, talking points, FAQs, speeches, PowerPoint presentations with employees, policyholders, agents and stakeholders.Create editorial calendar. Write, edit press releases, company news, annual report, marketing materials and award nominations; Pitch stories to media outlets; Post material to company website, blog, social media outlets (Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter); Identify key words, key phrases for SEO/SEM.. Work with Human Resources to rewrite performance management criteria as well as communicate HR changes to internal awards programs, company policies, PTO, core values and HR events. Manage company’s email marketing through Constant Contact and Agency Channel CRM (Highrise). Work with Board liaison and General Counsel’s office on communications for annual board elections. Manage cross-divisional teams in creation, direction and execution of company’s annual Safety Works Expo. Manage Marketing budget for company swag; business outreach events with associations and agency partners; and advertising. Manage company’s events contracts with Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Open, Arizona Cardinals, Arizona Diamondbacks and other business partners; Serve as business outreach liaison to industry associations and chambers of commerce.Maintain administrative details for writing and production staff, including paid time off and periodic performance reviews.

Group Managing Editor for division’s five publications. (Two monthly and three quarterly),Among the job duties were:Work with four editors-in-chief of five monthly telecommunications-oriented magazines; Help plan and direct editorial content and coordinate it with art, tables and/or graphs; Work with writers to shape and guide their stories; Supervise copy editors.Edit all submitted stories.Provide opinions and input on industry issues.Coordinate copy flow through the editing process; Lay out magazines and work with production manager and designers through production process.Work with company IT department to design and ensure accurate and timely website listings; Write, edit and post daily stories for magazines’ websites.Maintain administrative details for 12-person staff and freelance writers, including paid time off and periodic performance reviews.
