Reporting to the Director of Application Security, I joined a senior team of technical experts building a world-class security technical advisory services team. Bridging the gap between the Business, Corporate Security and Engineering, I’m the embedded liaison for the Nike B2B, Global Sports Marketing and Partner engineering teams providing expert security by design guidance, cloud security automation and risk remediation. My engagement strategy and cloud security knowledge led to security being integrated into delivery pipelines, high level design review process, remediation of 20+ risks, and embedded into the DevSecOps team. Project: Over 20 Nike.net applications and their API backend services were identified as using insecure Authentication and Authorization. I provided security design, architecture and consulting on rolling out Authentication and Authorization using Okta to all Nike.net applications. Results: All service to service calls in the domain secured by Okta Scopes reducing exposure and risk. Project: Partnering with the Global Sports Marketing business, I drove the engagement and remediation of critical Audit findings that were reported to the board quarterly. Results: A deeper trusted relationship with the business and secured highly confidential information using cloud security best practices and processes.
