I started my entrepreneurial journey at age 5 by selling my mothers supply of greeting cards…without permission! Mom turned it into a “teachable moment”, restocked her supply and coached me on pricing… so I could cover the “cost of goods sold” and generate a profit.Before crossing into adulthood, I set up other companies selling shoes, office supplies and food storage products in addition to serving as a missionary for two years.I graduated from Ricks College with a degree in Data Processing and minors in Small Business and Accounting.I created a Computer Consulting company while in college employing 5 programmers. I developed the first micro computer bookkeeping system.Upon graduating, I opened Summit Computer, Inc – a computer store – along with Summit Software – a software development company.I later worked for Diet Center, Inc. where I was in charge of CMS software development, computer sales and support. I traveled around the country speaking about business management and record keeping at conventions and meetings.As the Internet evolved in the 1990’s I started ICServ Inc./EZ-NetTools to focus specifically on providing easy-to-use web site tools for small businesses. We developed the first configurable shopping cart on the Internet and the first page building software. Through EZ-NetTools, I have helped thousands of small businesses across the country and some overseas create their virtual store front and transact business over the Internet.I am also active and work in my Church and other volunteer organizations including organizations supporting and facilitating adoption, foster care and other community services.I'm very passionate about small business.
