* Setting up new Linux servers (RHEL/CentOS/Oracle Linux) for use with Innovative's Sierra Integrated Library System (ILS), which uses a PostgreSQL RDBMS. I also do all of the setups for RHEL-based Linux servers for Innovative's Virtua ILS (which uses an Oracle RDBMS) and the Vital Digital Repository platform.* Setting up new Windows servers (with MS SQL Server) for use with Innovative's Polaris ILS.* Migrating existing library systems to newer servers, software releases, and OS versions.* Managing the technical aspects of all projects which involve migrating customers from our previous generation ILS platform (Millennium) to our current generation ILS platform (Sierra).* Coding new shell scripts from scratch to automate many facets of our manual installation process and writing all relevant technical documentation for the new scripts/processes, while also expanding and improving existing documentation and procedures.* Providing additional custom scripting for unique projects related to a variety of Innovative's ILS products, including the coding of SQL scripts, UNIX shell scripts, HTML/CSS modifications, and writing scripts which utilize our proprietary executables.* Providing customer-focused technical assistance and troubleshooting to ensure that all of our projects are done well and that customers have a positive experience during the course of our technical work.* Providing systems training (basic and advanced) for customers and internal staff regarding Innovative's Virtua ILS system, both remotely and on-site internationally (in locations such as the US, Canada, Sweden, Hong Kong, etc.)

* Provided technical support for users of our Integrated Library System (ILS) software.* Performed proprietary software upgrades on a variety of server types (Red Hat Linux/HP-UX/AIX/Solaris), which includes making changes in UNIX configuration, Oracle server software, Java, Solr, and Apache instances.* Performed Oracle DB upgrades when our software requires new versions for compatibility (from 9i to 10g, 10g to 11g, 11.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.3, etc.)* Troubleshot server outages, software malfunctions, identifying and submitting bugs to our development department, and researching any other issues using remote management.* Utilized HTML, CSS, shell scripting, and SQL scripts to aid in fixing problems with ILS installations.* Also involved customizing webpage skins, some Quality Control testing, and various other remote server management tasks.* Responsible for the main setup/admin/troubleshooting tasks for our next generation Drupal-based Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) software.* Performed systems training services for customers and internal staff, both online and in-person. Have traveled internationally to perform customer training in-person, including sites in Sweden, Hong Kong, Canada, New York City, and other sites domestically in the USA. Have also recorded professional quality video documentation for various portions of our software, which is distributed worldwide.* Personally responsible for the updating and maintenance of the company's globally-distributed technical installation guides for our core software packages.* Performed software/database upgrades for some of the highest-circulating libraries in the world, such as Queens Public Library and Hong Kong Public Library, amongst many others.* Opted to complete several job-relevant certificate courses from the American Library Association's "ALA Editions" courses to increase my skills in several technical areas, including Drupal Administration and Web Service API/PHP Coding.
