I am an award-winning educator and school leader with over fifteen years’ experience working in primary and secondary schools. I was awarded the 2016 ACCE Australian ICT Educator of the Year and was a recipient of the International Society for IT in Education Making IT Happen award in 2017, for my leadership in Digital Technologies education and school digital transformation. I am a Google Certified Innovator and Apple Distinguished Educator.I was the founder of Information Technology Educators ACT (InTEACT), the professional association in the ACT for ICT educators and the peak advocacy body for the use of ICT in schools. I have advised schools and departments of education across the country on curriculum, pedagogical and school leadership, and educational strategy.I was an author of the Australian Curriculum: Digital Technologies, and an adviser for the Technologies learning area in 2012-13. I have developed curriculum frameworks and exemplar assessment tasks for the ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies and have been engaged by ACARA to assist with the curriculum review of both Digital Technologies and Digital Literacy in 2021.I hold a Master of Education, where I was awarded the Dean’s Excellence award for my studies, which included research on the enabling role of ICT on curriculum, pedagogy and organisational effectiveness in schools.While working with Grok, I have led the Schools Cyber Security Challenges Program, a $5 million industry, government and education collaboration that has reached over 150,000 students and 4,500 teachers in 2.5 years.As the Head of Education (Curriculum), I lead a team of educators at Grok Academy in the development of teacher professional development and student classroom resources and have presented at educational conferences across Australia on a range of topics related to curriculum, ICT integration and school leadership and effectiveness.Specialties: Educational Technology Integration, Curriculum Design and Mapping
