I have worked in the medical industry for over 7 years in a variety of roles. Since September 2017, I have focused on acquiring and developing a network of clients in the Business and Community Care sector. Hospital Direct is a UK supplier and manufacturer of Patient Handling Equipment to the Acute, Community, and Homecare healthcare sector. Running successfully for over 22 years, we are one of the longest running manufacturers of patient handling products, and are proud to have developed the largest range in Europe. Hospital Direct has been built on product quality and customer service – and is a company I am proud to represent.

I worked for Hospital Direct for 5 months prior to my travels to Australia and for another 5 months upon my return home. The areas I monitored and developed were East and West Midlands, as well as Northern Ireland. Activities included:• Travelling East and West Midlands, and Northern Ireland, to maintain and develop good working relationships with current and prospective customers.• I was involved with the strategic development of these areas through relationship building and personal customer care.• Other objectives involved product demonstrations and increasing sales.

I was sub-contracted by both Origin Energy and FKG Civil Contractors whilst working on the same site in Australia.Responsibilities included:• Protecting the Pongamia tree plantation from natural damage i.e. weather and other external forces. • Removing foreign objects from the Origin Energy dam floor which could cause damage to its protective lining.• I was also involved with the installation of the leak detection systems which, should a leak occur in the lining, would activate an alarm.
