The Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company is a 100% volunteer organization established in 1959 providing fire and rescue services to the residents of Cranberry Township out of two fire stations located strategically within the community. The Fire Company created a unique agreement with the Township in 1981, which transferred the assets of the Company to Cranberry Township. As part of the agreement, the township provides financial support for building maintenance, equipment, and apparatus. In return the professionals of the Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company spend their volunteer time training, performing administrative work, and responding to emergency calls.
