I started out as a mainframe computer programmer coding in COBOL using punch cards. As the technology changed, so did my skills. I was promoted to a Systems Analyst which involved gathering requirements from our internal users and determining what resources were required for the project. I did basic project management and worked with teams on larger projects.When the Personal Computer came along in the 80's, I taught myself to develop Windows applications using Visual Basic. Started out using VB 1.0. When the internet came to life and Web sites were needed, I taught myself HTML and evolved to Active Server Pages with VBScript and JavaScript. I later added Java Server Pages and Perl Script.Throughout my career at Boeing, I supported multiple applications at the same time. All our applications were only used internally.Currently, I use WordPress for my own Web sites.
