Joined Owl Biomedical (acquired by Miltenyi Biotec) to help them prepare the company for mass production launch and acquisition by a major biotechnology company. This involved developing the production process, business planning systems and quality system as well as building out cleanroom space and purchasing all equipment required to scale up production for high volume manufacturing of the cell sorter device and disposable micro-fluidic MEMS valve use for sorting stem cells and cancer research

Served as GM of the Endoscopy division of Conmed with responsibility for overall P&L of the business as well as guiding the division through 14 consecutive years of growth and new product launches. Managed director level functional heads of Marketing, Customer Service, Research & Development, Operations, Quality & Regulatory, and Accounting. The organization grew from 20 to 100 people and enjoyed steady and consistent growth in sales while improving profitability. Accomplishments during tenure:• Revenue & profit - Division revenue grew from $21M to $78M (per year) • Gross margin - improved by 5 points.• Market share - Increased surgical video market share from 5% to 16%. • New products - Five new generations of camera systems were developed and launched.• Technology - Twelve patents were received. Several "industry- first" products were released, including the world’s first steam sterilizable 3 chip surgical video camera as well as the world’s first High Definition surgical video camera in 2007.

Responsible for all day to day operations of the company including Manufacturing, Purchasing & Materials, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality & Regulatory, and Customer Service. Assembled a team of people to transfer the manufacturing and sourcing of several product lines from Florida to the division in Santa Barbara, which increased annual sales from $6M to $21M.

Responsible for customer interface, account management, and pricing strategy for major OEM customers. In addition, was responsible for the design, prototyping, offshore manufacturing, production planning, pricing, and quality of the product line. Specific responsibilities included Program Management, Business Planning, Product development, Customer pricing, Scheduling, Materials, and Logistics.
