My current projects include:- shortlisted on the Red Deer Ambulatory Care Centr P3 bid together with NORR for Sacyr and Plenary- feasibility study for the George Street Redevelopment Project, Toronto, ON - A new emergency and transitional shelter, assisted housing and long term care facility.- West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Redevelopment, Grimsby, ON - a new community hospital to replace the existing hospital on site. B+H and McCallum Sather architects are the PDC consultants and I manage the team and the development of OS deliverables, and reviews of the 3 bidding teams submissions through to the end of the evaluation and award phase, and now focus on medical planning coordination in the Implementation Phase.- Royal Columbian Hospital Cath Lab Upgrade, New Westminster, BC - a 2-phase in-place renovation to upgrade the existing cath lab in the hospital, and add a new cath lab in the space to cope with high volumes of procedures. In Progress.- Continuing advisory to the New Emergency Medicine Building, Singapore General Hospital, Singapore team - a new 60,000m2 multi-level emergency department, along with ICU, recovery spaces, inpatient wards, and multi-level office/administration space.- Confidential healthcare clinic and imaging centre prototype for digital health and executive health assessments across Canada.- Cleveland Clinic Oncology Centre, Abu Dhabi - peer review of the medical planning and constructability of this project for the design builder- Continuing resource to proposals, leads and bid structuring in Asia and India.

B+H and Surbana Jurong asked me to relocate to B+H's Shanghai Studio in 2018 for 4 years to continue to build our heathcare practice there. - ICON Radiation Oncology Centres, Chongqing and Qingdao- Columbia Health new seniors living facilities in Ningbo and Suzhou- Columbia Health Design Standards for Acute Care, Clinics and Seniors care projects- Singapore General Hospital Emergency Medicine Building- China Resources Hospital Hangzhou- Kitimat, BC LNG Plant - E-House Design and Fabrication reviews for ABB, the electrical and controls supplier to the LNG Canada Consortium.- Singapore Expo Covid-19 Pandemic Recovery Centre, 1000 beds- Multiple international healthcare bids and proposals in Greater China, Philippines, Singapore, VietnamDue to Covid-19 uncertainties, I returned to Canada in 2020, to be the Principal, Healthcare in our B+H Toronto Studio.

I joined B+H Architects as the Managing Principal of the Vancouver office in September 2012 and also took on the interim management of the Singapore office from March 2013 - April 2014. I led Stantec's healthcare sector team in BC, with staff in Vancouver, Victoria, Kamloops, Kelowna and Abbottsford. I also led P3 Public Private Partnership projects and Design Build efforts in healthcare through my relationships with clients, proponents, and contractors, including:- the $375 million Kelowna Vernon Hospitals P3 project which added a new 6-storey, 358,438 sq. ft. Ambulatory Care Centre at Kelowna General Hospital, a new 35,520sf University of British Columbia Clinical Academic Campus and attached 348-stall parkade, and a new 7-storey 229,271 sq. ft. Diagnostic and Treatment Building at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.- the interim Masterplan for the redevelopment of the Richmond Hospital Site.- the ARES Technical Standards for Corrections Facilities in BC, in advance of the next round of corrections facilities construction and renovation in the province- Royal Jubilee Hospital Masterplan, Victoria, BC- mentor to the Future Leaders group- developed an experience rotation model for staff through different studios as their careers evolve

I joined Omicron in 2003 to lead the Architecture discipline and build the Institutional Sector, and within 2 years, we designed the New Surrey Campus for Simon Fraser University at Surrey Central City. What a great project to help build a new major university campus in BC! While with Omicron I also:- led the design team for the new RCMP West Kelowna Detachment in West Kelowna, BC.- helped win Stratford Hall School Redevelopment Design Build and a major redevelopment and upgrading of BC Hydro's maintenance and service facilities province-wide- developed the Project Output Specification for Vancouver Coastal Health's 5 proposed Primary Care Access Centres to be developed through a P3 model- Pediatric Intensive Care Centre, Kent, Washington

Chateau Whistler Golfcourse, Langara Golfcourse Clubhouse, the Vancouver Island Fish Hatchery and Research Centre, The University Hospital of Northern British Columbia, the new Kitimat Hospital and several residential projects at Blackcomb Mountain in Whistler are among the legacy projects of those very exciting years.
