About Bruce Knox
As I continue my career in education, I am looking for an opportunity to lead a school into the future where learning is student-focused, inquiry-based and passion-driven. Understanding that this sort of learning requires a new mould of teacher, I am eager to continue working with teachers to help them become advocates for students as mentors and coaches of learning. Having worked with teachers first-hand as they have considered and worked to incorporate these new teaching approaches, I am keen to continue supporting and coaching teachers through processes of change. Acknowledging the systematic challenges these sorts of student-centred approaches can create, I am ready to devote time to build understanding and learning within the school parent community to ensure a strong link between the aims and practices of the school and the support students receive at home.Through my administrative experience as Secondary School Director at International College, K-12 Principal at APIS, Technology Director at The KAUST School, visits to world-leading schools, my ongoing reading and my first-hand experience in the classroom, I am eager to help build a school where student welfare is first and foremost in order that student learning will flourish.
