For this institution, now owned by Edith Cowan University, I was initially engaged as a consultant by the Principal of St Stephen’s School to establish an RTO to provide vocational education in China. St Stephen’s was the first school of its size/ type in Australia to establish RTO operations offshore, representing the significant vision of the School executive and Council.My first focus was to develop out the vision from whiteboard concept with a robust business and project plan to create the college. This is a training foundation established by the McCusker Family in association with Anglican Homes (now Amana Living) to provide specialist dementia care training in WA. It was a leading dementia care training organisation in WA, recognised for its quality training, until its merger with Amana Living.Key Contributions✔ Drove 4 years of consecutive growth, developing and implementing a suite of business plans which included the overall re-branding of the organisation ✔ Defined direction to the organisation leading to its eventual merger, researching and providing the Amana Living CEO and Board of Directors with a range of strategic business options ✔ Introduced efficiency in business processes, developing and implementing new business systems including financial and student management systems leading to the successful re-registration and audit✔ Developed and led a team of dedicated professionals to manage and deliver high quality services to a wide variety of client organisations across WA ✔ Led the expansion of the RTO scope and re-registration with the Western Australian Training and Accreditation Council.
