CurrentSQW provides research, analysis and advice on sustainable economic and social development for public, private and not-for-profit organisations.I am a director and manage SQW’s office in Edinburgh. I work as an economist with a wide range of experience in evaluation, appraisal and economic impact analysis built up since joining the firm in 1994. I've led many research projects for the UK and Scottish Governments, Local Economic Partnerships, Local Authorities and other organisations. This covers different aspects of economic development, including innovation, business support, access to finance, tourism, energy, higher education, community development, skills development, and culture. Fundamentally, its about assessing the difference that public sector interventions can make to local and national economies.
