Supervising 30 UAW skilled trades in Body Shop of GM Detroit Hamtramck Assembly.

Current project GM T1xx program GMC/Chevrolet Truck for the Fort Wayne Assembly. Controls Hardware designs for ZA Zone Error Proofing/Closures Assembly. Rockwell RS Logix and Siemens TIA Portal HMI programming.

Controls Project Manager for the GM 01SL 2016 Cadillac program for the GM Detroit Hamtramck Assembly Motor Compartment Zones. Controls Project Manager for the GM D2SC 2015 Cruze program for the Lordstown Motor Compartment Assembly Zones. Write SORs (Statement of Requirements) for contracts with controls design house. Provide project management for the design, build, integration, and installation of BIW assembly lines. Provide controls hardware support to turn-key vendors, review and correct control designs, verify proper tool construction and installation to GM standards. Work with plant union skilled trades to debug and start up new tooling. Train plant production personnel on operating new equipment. Communicate with upper management on progress towards meeting company metrics.

Managed the controls installation of three body shop zones for the 2010 Cadillac SRX platform at the GM Ramos-Arizpe Assembly Plant in Coahuila, Mexico. Responsible for tracking external engineering resources, and minimizing costs associated with each project phase. Ensured adherence to Program SOR and General Motors Global Controls Build Standards.

Reviewed BIW controls designs for the GMT-383 Saturn Vue Program from sequence of operations through system design to eliminate errors and make improvements to the designs. Supervised the tool build at the GM South Korean Tooling facilities in Daewoo, Korea to facilitate construction and quality of tooling. Supervised the integration of tooling at GM vendor’s facilities through system debug and startup. Supervised the installation of BIW systems at the GM Ramos-Arizpe Assembly Bodyshop.

Primary responsibilities to assure compliance with design and construction standards, implement plans of action to correct deviations, maintain data base of construction and design issues. Also acted as liaison between General Motors North American engineering groups, plant engineers, contract engineers, and contract employee supervisors.

Supervised electrical control build of robotic resistance welding systems and the electrical panel department.
