I started selling along time ago, I was about fourteen and I had a summer job, selling frozen fish from Alaska off the back of a truck. I learned that if I always told the truth, made a fair deal, and didn’t take advantage of people, they would take care of you. They would do your advertising for you, sending their friends, family and neighbors your way.After college, I worked in a family insurance agency, selling health and life insurance. I became really good at the back room aspects of insurance, underwriting, risk evaluation, case development, difficult case placement, honing computer and negotiation skills. By 1998 I was the de-facto sales manager of nice family agency, and by 2000 we were one of the leading producers of Long Term Care insurance in New Mexico. Things began to change in 2001, major companies stopped writing LTC insurance, and by September we had arranged a new relationship with AIG to market LTC on a completely different basis. That changed on September 11, 2001. The division of AIG we were working with was in the South Tower. Picking up the pieces and moving on, we found that while we had the wherewithal to weather the storm, most of our agents did not. After the retirement of my partner, due to medical concerns, I found myself as a lone insurance agent.In 2003, I started another insurance agency and property management company, Red Door Services, Inc. In 2005, we added Credit Card Processing to the mix, and quickly found that it was something that insurance was not, a hands on people business.Later that year I decided to pursue some thing I had started almost two decades before, becoming a minister. After two years, I started my ministry, Life's Moments Weddings, Celebrations and Ceremonies.My goals are simple. To create the freedom to be able to minister full time.
