Contractor consultant to UNDP: Formulation of building sector EE policies for application at the federal and state level, involving stakeholder consultation (industry, government), review of international best practice, modelling of policy costs and impacts.The Building Sector Energy Efficiency project (https://www.jkr.gov.my/bseep) is a collaborative project housed at the Department of Public Works (JKR) with funding support from UNDP's Global Environment Facility (GEF). It has five components - institutional capacity development, policy development and regulatory frameworks, financing capacity improvement, information and awareness enhancement and building EE demonstrations. I was the lead consultant in the policy component of the project, where I developed policy papers and ran workshops to develop a policy roadmap to stopping growth in building sector energy consumption. This included provision of input into the development of the 11th Malaysian Plan.

Established CarbonetiX as an energy efficiency/sustainability services consultant/contractor, and also a developer/provider of energy and carbon management software. During my time as founder/director CarbonetiX provided energy efficiency, carbon measurement and accounting, water efficiency and waste management consultancy services, as well as the delivery of energy and water efficiency projects.I subsequently sold the company to Beacon Lighting, and ceased my involvement with CarbonetiX in December 2013.
