3rd generation Journeyman Lineman was inducted into IBEW Local 47 at 18 on June 7th of 1999. As the 1st born son of Bruce Thompson Sr I had a good deal of line work experience before I was even hired on as a ground man in 99 as I attended multiple climbing school classes, and the first time I tried climbing, I was maybe six years old. Throughout my youth, I spent a great deal of time traveling the country with my dads lineman’s rodeo team, which inspired me to have a successful competitive run of my being highly ranked both locally and internationally on multiple occasions.I completed my apprenticeship through the well-known California utility Southern California Edison. At the third step, I volunteered for the NJATC apprenticeship adopted at that time by SCE. As a result, I have both Utility and Outside construction Journeyman Lineman Certificates as of August 23rd, 2003.
