Bruce W. Steckler founded Steckler Wayne & Love PLLC specializing in complex litigation. He was a partner at three Dallas-based firms and, most recently, was a shareholder and the head of the General Litigation Section of one of the largest plaintiffs firms in the United States. He has won recognition by D Magazine’s “Best Lawyers under 40" feature in 2002 through 2006, and D Magazine’s “Best Lawyers” in 2007 through 2024, and Texas Monthly as a “Texas Super Lawyer” in 2004 through 2024. He enjoys an “AV” rating by Martindale Hubbell Law Directory, its highest rating. He was named a finalist for Public Justice Trial Lawyer of the Year 2012 and a Top 100 Trial Lawyers of the Year 2013-2024 by the National Trial Lawyers . Mr. Steckler was a member of the SMU Law Review Assoc., and the SMU Moot Court Board. He was appointed to the State Bar of Texas Grievance Committee and is an Emeritus member of the Board of Directors of the DTLA. He has authored numerous papers on civil litigation and trial practice and spoken at several seminars on various civil litigation topics. He was selected to serve on the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee for the Chinese Drywall MDL, Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee for In Re Checking Account Overdraft Litigation. He served on the Plaintiffs' Steering Committee for In Re: Fresenius Granuflo/Naturalyte Dialysate Products Liability Litigation and In re: Ford Fusion anc C-Max Fuel Economy Litigation. He is a member of the State Bars of Texas, Louisiana, New York, Pennsylvania and Missouri, U.S. District Courts – Northern, Eastern, Western and Southern Districts of Texas, Eastern District of Louisiana and Western District of Louisiana, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the Federal Court of Claims in Washington, D.C. and United States Supreme Court.
