Provided technical leadership for development staff of Company’s toll collection technology used by Illinois Toll Authority’s I-PASS system. Company’s toll collection technology is a system integration of RFID tags and readers, visual imaging, transaction processing and web-based reporting, all in a 5-tier, 800+ node, fault-tolerant LAN/WAN/VPN SONET network of microprocessors hosted by duplex servers with a distributed database and Oracle RACS in multi-terabyte Storage Area Networks. The I-PASS system posts over 2.5 million transactions and handles over one million dollars of revenue per day. Contributed to integration of Video-Tolling, EZPASS (Interagency Group), Open Road Tolling, and other major features. Over 500 nodes were Linux platforms with dozens Windows NT/2000 servers at the higher tiers, all remotely administered from the Lisle office.
