A member of Blurb's initial launch executive team that quickly grew to become the global leader in online self-publishing and marketing (Inc 500 #1 fastest growing media company in 2010, Goldman Sachs "Top 100 Up and Coming Private Companies" in 2012), Bruce oversees global print product development and production strategy, print technology, order fulfillment, partner relationships, customer support, large order services, and logistics. He is responsible for the creation of what is widely regarded as the most comprehensive and agile digital and offset print network in the self-publishing industry with multiple locations in North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, allowing for scaling of global business infrastructure to deliver profitability within 24 months of first $ of revenue, and successfully scaled organization to accommodate revenue CAGR of 135% from 2006 to 2011. He built a full customer-facing Operations group scaleable to +$100M annual revenue with margin increases year-over-year from 2006 through 2019.By creating a business model that enables the company to profit on a unit of one, Blurb has opened up the world of publishing to everyone who has access to a computer and a story to tell. Blurb's independent publishing platform offers the ability to design, publish, share, market, distribute, and sell both digital and print books. Further, Blurb puts book creators in full control by providing a comprehensive publishing toolkit: a suite of free book design tools including Blurb BookWright™, an Adobe InDesign® plugin and Adobe Lightroom® integration, a variety of print and distribution options, book format and paper choices, and online selling and social sharing tools.Blurb was founded in 2005 by a team of design, Internet and media veterans and has served more than 2 million customers worldwide, resulting in over 3 million unique book titles, with over 26 million units shipped to over 70 countries around the world.Acquired by RPI August, 2020.
