Interdisciplinary researcher with a background in biochemistry, biomedical engineering, and biomedical sciences-bioelectrics. My major interests include immuno-oncology, the tumor microenvironment, immunity, and immunometabolism. I also take the responsibilities of leadership/mentorship (and just being a good person) to heart, so I like to spend my free time developing soft skills through reading and life coaching. My peers would probably say the enthusiasm I have for research is nearly as infectious as my enthusiasm for mentoring/inspiring/collaborating. I love helping my peers capitalize on their strengths and develop new skills to work on projects they are excited about. I am an avid team player with flexibility, resilience, genuine curiosity, and eagerness to learn... and share. Regarding research, I have worked on a variety of novel projects and collaborations from attempts at humanizing mice to investigating stimulatory effects of pulsed power on tumors and immune cells. That said, I learned so much from each venture and gained quite a few skills along the way... • Trained and proficient with in vivo handling/husbandry of immunocompetent and immunocompromised mouse strains, in vivo CDX and PDX models (tumor and HCB CD34+ HSC), IVIS live imaging, antemortem and postmortem specimen collection and processing • Technical experience: multiplexing flow cytometry, magnetic cell isolation processes, Seahorse XFA, nanosecond pulse stimulation (NPS), and gene electrotherapy (GET)• Trained & proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel, as well as FlowJo, Agilent analytics, and GraphPad Prism

Founder | ConsultantB. Rued, Ph.D. Feb 2023 - PresentChange is on the horizon, and everyone in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals needs to adapt to the high-demands for innovation. With over 15-years in business and versatile STEM background, I help bridge the "jargon gaps" between experts of STEM disciplines and the curated variety of non-STEM experts driving the business in high gear. Consider me your secret weapon, or the mouse in your pocket... you'll have everyone trying to figure out how you're always coming up with the most creative, insightful, and brilliant angles in collaborations and marketing campaigns.. they won't know what hit'em! Work with me and get innovation-ready! As a Ph.D. with years of creative entrepreneurial experience, I know how frustrating it can be to navigate the complex jargon/lingo of biotech & pharm circles as a non-STEM expert. I've felt frustrated, confused, overwhelmed, and burned out by chronic stress more times than I care to count. I couldn't understand why everyone had to use such complicated language, so I made myself learn each one... from biochemistry to engineering to cancers and immunology. What I realized was that everyone was saying similar things in different languages. No wonder collaborations felt like getting dropped off on another planet or being suckered into a timeshare trap that no body was buying! Now, I'm here to serve you with my best tips to navigating the jargon, so you'll BE THE KEY ASSET that gets your company innovating like crazy, and taking those brilliant (life changing) ideas to the market without getting burned out and feeling like your on another planet! Think of me as your secret weapon, your disruptive strategist, or the mouse in your pocket;) So, let's get going - I can't wait to see your amazing future!
