BSG is a registered student organization with Student Organizations, Leadership, & Engagement at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).BSG hosts a year-long career development program for its accepted members. This program is divided into three parts, each roughly lasting for 3 months. Additionally, BSG provides resources available to non-member UCLA students and hopes to help the Psychology student population as much as it can.

BSG will host the first ever Career Networking Fair (CNF) for students interested in applying their Psychology or related undergraduate studies to different careers upon graduation. Professionals: If you are a professional working in any of the fields that a Psychology or related major can be applied to and want to represent your position and field at the CNF, please message us or email us at bruinsynaptogenesis@gmail.com. We are looking for any professional who graduated college before 2020 and wants to share career insight and advice to UCLA undergraduates.

The BSG Winter Speaker Event Series is the second part of the BSG career development program and lasts from January to March every year. Each weekly speaker event focuses on a different career field. For every field represented, BSG invites 3-4 professionals with a background in or related to Psychology to share their stories as well as give insight and career advice to our members. Through the BSG Mentorship Program, a current BSG member (the mentee) is paired up with a professional (the mentor) working in the career field of the member's interest. Once the pair is formed, the mentor and the mentee decide together what type of mentorship and communication channel works best for them. The program lasts a whole academic year, however, we encourage mentors and mentees to stay connected beyond that.Mentors/Professionals: If you are a current professional working in any of the various fields that any major related to Psychology can be applied to and are interested in mentoring a BSG member (student in the Psychology Department at UCLA), please send us a message or an email to bruinsynaptogenesis@gmail.com.

The first part of the BSG career development program lasts three months from September to December of each academic year. This includes weekly workshops that focus on all the different aspects of the job search process.
