My role also involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop risk mitigation strategies and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Additionally, I am an active member of the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) working group, where I contribute to enhancing workplace safety protocols, promoting sustainable practices, and ensuring the well-being of all staff. My involvement in the HSE group has strengthened my ability to identify potential hazards, implement preventive measures, and foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the organization.

During my three-month summer internship, I worked in a multidisciplinary team consisting of myself as an ecologist, a physicist, and electronics students. Together, we contributed to the Lacoscope project, developing a portable microscope designed to promote citizen science. The device uses artificial intelligence to identify phytoplankton and stores identification and location data in a database. This approach to citizen science supports environmental monitoring by enabling broader participation and data collection.

My role involved supporting the volunteer program at Salto Morato Reserve (Atlantic Forest) and Serra do Tombador Reserve(Cerrado), where I conducted biodiversity monitoring in the Serra do Tombador Reserve. This experience enabled me to actively contribute to species conservation projects. In addition to fieldwork, I developed strong administrative and organizational skills crucial to the success and efficiency of conservation initiatives.
