Through my many years in the school system I facilitated children's learning at all ages. I planned and organized Field trips at various age levels in a variety of subjects. Dealing with a variety of personalities at the student level, staff level, and parental level was accepted as a challenge and usually ended successfully.I choose to proceed with professional development not only in music but including art, language arts, middle school developement, and leadership skills.Professional organizations included, but not limited to, Carl Orff Association-Lethbridge Chapter board as Secretary, vice president, and president; Alberta Choral Federation board-serving 10 years; Alberta Teachers Association #41 serving on the Professional Development Committee, Economic Policy Committee, Negotiating Sub Committee, Secretary, Vice President, President, and Past President.I have organized and/or chaired conference committees for ATA Fine Arts, The Alberta Guild of English Handbell Ringers and the Alberta Choral Federation.Volunteer work includes: Cancer Society canvassers; Heat Fund canvassers and area Captain; Canadian Girls In Training as a leader.
