While continuing the characterization of crystals and the market search for digitization modules, I participated in several experiments at Isolde, CERN, and at GSI/FAIR. In some cases, I was involved in preparing the electronic readout of the setup.At the same time I took part in several international meetings, presenting the work done in our team and looking for feedbacks from the rest of the collaboration or, in some cases, from a larger part of the scientific community.

I continued the work done during the master thesis, especially the characterization of crystals and PMTs.Important for this goal was the participation in an experiment at at the Institute of Nuclear Physics, Krakow, where we could test the prototype using proton beams with energies up to 225 MeV.As part of building the detector, I also surveyed the market for digitization modules, trying to define requirements and estimating costs.

I developed digital electronic circuits (mainly on FPGA) for detectors at the GSI/FAIR facility.I designed a readout procedure for a switched capacitor array (DRS4) (in collaboration with a group at the Technical University of Munich), and a data compression algorithm.At the same time I worked on characterizing crystals and photomultipliers (PMTs) used in a detector that is being developed in Chalmers for the GSI/FAIR facility.

I developed the circuit used for heating the FPGA and the procedure used for collecting the data. Then I analyzed the results removing erroneous samples and calculating the correct fluence. The experiment was carried out at ISIS by UFRGS professor and PHD student.
