Have co-developed and implemented a lab for the discovery of VHH and another antibody-like scaffold for the application in high-value products in the biotech field.

Have been involved in planning, writing, FTE allocation and budgeting of antibody and antibody-like scaffold discovery programs for immuno-oncology and infectious diseases, for therapeutic and diagnostic purposes.

Lead position in implementing and improving selection, screening and sequenceoptimization strategies to characterize Affimer® leads using Phage Display technologyand high throughput screening techniques. Was also responsible for discovery andtechnology development projects.

In this CRO company, I managed a team aiming the discovery of antibody fragment drugcandidates with determined characteristics, designing, planning, managing and runningseveral projects for a key client.

In this startup CRO company, I designed and ran antibody discovery experiments in orderto identify antibody fragment candidates of various formats, from immune libraryconstruction to characterization of lead candidates. I was also involved in severaltechnology and tool development projects.

I worked at the lead identification and characterization team for the discovery ofNanobodies® (VHH), the first and at that time the only company with rights to developcamelid single domain antibodies for therapeutic purposes. This was my first industryexperience where I gained an outstanding experience in a fast-paced environmentdeveloping high quality scientific data.

In my MSc project I develop and immunoassay for detection of an antibiotic inenvironmental samples. In this project I was first introduced to antibody discovery using ahuman scFv library and Phage Display technology, recombinant protein cloning,expression and purification and assay development.
