Final project for the Master's program in nanotechnology: Photocatalytic Reduction of p-Nitrophenol Using Gold Nanotriangles Supported on Magnesium and Zinc Oxides.The work involved the synthesis of the nanostructured materials, their characterization with techniques like TEM and XRD, and finally their testing under different light irradiation conditions (LEDs with different wavelengths), with final analyses using UV-Vis spectroscopy for obtaining values for kinetic constants and conversions.

Activities: implementations on the wood yard, laboratory simulations of chemical cooking with additives, analysis of the physical properties of paper with reduced kappa numbers, physico-chemical analyses, Kappa number analysis, mechanical properties tests of paper samples, statistical evaluation, standardization of process procedures, analyses of problems with the paper machine etc.
