About Bruno Costa, M.Sc
Specialist in rocket propulsion, Bruno Costa has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ) and a master's degree in Space Engineering and Technology from the National Institute for Space Research (INPE). He is currently Systems Engineer at PION Labs, where he coordinates the development and testing of sounding rockets and satellites. In 2021, he was part of the PION-BR1 development team: the first Brazilian private satellite fully developed and tested in the country. He is also a member of the organizing team, judge and launch operator of the Latin American Space Challenge (LASC), the largest rocket and satellite competition in Latin America. He was VP and CTO of the COBRUF Association, where he supervised rocket launch operations at the Barreira do Inferno Launch Center (CLBI) in several missions. In 2018, he was Project Leader and Designer of the ATOM rocket, which won third place in the world's largest rocket competition in the 10k-SRAD Solid Motors category.
