I'm a researcher at the Physics of Information and Quantum Technologies Group and an Invited Assistant Professor at Instituto Superior Técnico, where I am responsible for designing new projects, securing funding, and guiding the next generation of scientists in quantum information. My work is multidisciplinary in nature, spanning across the fields of physics, quantum networking, and computational sciences. I hold a Ph.D. in Physics from Northeastern University.My current focus is on leveraging my deep understanding of complex network and graph theory in the realms of quantum networking and quantum computation. I have developed routing algebras and multi-objective optimization algorithms for entanglement distribution in quantum networks, which are crucial for optimizing the intricate distributions of quantum information. I have also been part of developing quantum algorithms to solve network science problems, such as predicting missing links in complex networks. My contributions have been recognized in high-impact journals, such as Nature Machine Intelligence and Physical Review Letters. I was also part of the European Horizon 2020-funded Quantum Internet Alliance (QIA) project, where I integrated and synchronized cutting-edge research across various teams to blueprint a pan-European quantum internet.
