I have a degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte and master in Structural Engineering at São Carlos School of Engineering, University of São Paulo. I have a background in seismic engineering and, more specifically, in Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Analyses (PSHA) and the generation of hazard maps and Uniform Hazard Spectrum (UHS). Presently, I am a researcher in computational mechanics, focusing on the Finite Element Method (FEM) and the Generalized Finite Element Method (GFEM), working, more specifically, with adaptive procedures guided by a posteriori error estimators in the scope of nonlinear geometric analysis. I also have experience in developing FEM and GFEM codes in the C++ language, having an interest in object-oriented programming (OOP) and serial and parallel optimization techniques.
