Product Development Manager South America - Body Exterior SystemsLead engineering development of Body Exterior Systems components for new projects:- Lighting systems: Headlamps, tail lamps, fog lamps- Front and rear end systems: Front and rear bumper fascias and grilles, front end modules, active grille shutters, radiator supports.- Exterior ornamentation and wiper systems: cowl top grilles, door and rocker claddings, fixed glasses, interior and exterior mirrors, roof racks, appliqués, front and rear wipers, washers.- Body Exterior Craftsmanship: define best execution, attribute leadership strategy, competitiveness, ingredients definition.Lead Cost Reduction and Quality improvement teams.

- Manage the interface between the body teams to deliver project objectives: Interior Trim, Exterior Ornamentation, Climate Control System and Restraints. Technical leadership on the cross-functional issues resolution.- Manage cost, weight, quality, functional attributes and timing for each project to be according to the targets.- Manage the interface between the program management team and the body engineering team in order to guarantee that the workflow is in accordance to the program timing and scope.- Manage the interface between the project teams to deliver the expected results including milestone results report to the senior management and milestone submission to approval.- Apply the engineering disciplines in the product development (failure mode avoidance, APQP, etc.)

- Seats development coordination and supplier project management. Leadership on technical issues resolution and continuous improvement.- Development of cost reduction actions and implementation. - Validation tests planning, execution and report.

- New manufacturing process implementation and existing manufacturing process optimization. Searching of new technologies, machines and equipments and its economic analysis. Lay out optimization.- Engineer in charge for painting process and surface treatment area.- Responsible for the environmental licensing process in the plant with the Brazilian authorities.

- Viability of the production of new products through the coordination of multi-functional planning and execution teams, elaboration of the process and the training of operators, including calculation of raw material consumption, production cycle time, production costs and value analysis.- Development of more effective manufacturing techniques through method and equipment enhancement and continuous improvement (kaizen). Determination of process outflow, lay out, manning, equipment, and the production methods necessary. Advanced product quality planning (APQP), process failure mode and effect analysis (PFMEA) and process viability analysis.

- Development and establishment of new production processes for sport shoes. - Supervision of production, including selection and technical training of new employees. - Coordination of new product development and its feasibility reducing new product launches time by 33%.

- Acquired broad technical experience on the environment area, working with solid waste classification and disposal (incineration). - Also acquired experience on water and effluent treatment, gaseous emission stationary font monitoring and treatment.- Perform mass balance of production processes, in order to reduce rejects generated and increase process efficiency.- Plan, control and perform mass and energy balance for a Class I waste incinerator.- Coordination and preparation of several technical operational training for water treatment and effluent station operators.
