As System Development Engineer I work with design, develop and maintenance of distributed systems to process large scale data for internal and external customers. At Amazon, a System Development Engineer is expected to have the same programming and design capability as a Software Development Engineer, applying these best practices and skills to operations, maintenance and system administration. Are my current duties:- Design and development of deployment mechanisms (CI and CD pipelines)- Automation of maintenance- Data Extract Transform and Load systems- Troubleshooting, event mitigation and on-call routines- Design Documents for new systems and mechanisms

A TAM is part of Amazon's Enterprise Support, A Technical Account Manager, TAM for short, works with Enterprise Support customers, providing consultant support about Amazon Webservices, best practices and operational excellence in Cloud Computing environments. Are part of responsibilities:- Actively manage Critical and Urgent Cases- Plan for Infrastructure Event Management (IEMs)- Request Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on behalf of customer- Escalate problems to Key Customer Issues process- Provide Billing and Account setup support- Plan for Infrastructure Event Management- On-board customer with requested services/features

GFG owns and operates large e-commerces outside of the US - Zalora, Iconic, Namshi, Jabong. Working at Dafiti:- Served as Kanui’s interim CTO, managing contracts, costs and external suppliers and client facing.- Integration of two e-commerces (Kanui and Tricae) into Dafiti’s stack. Both sites data was migrated usingRedshift + RDS (PostgreSQL DBLink) for fast and reliable data ETL (materialized views for caching and PSQLGIN indexes).- Managed many cultural changes and helped to integrated the three major teams into one new organization,creating eleven squads to address each pillar of the three ecommerces.- Proposed and implemented a decoupled component to process product metadata and stock, using amessage broker (RabbitMQ) and parallel workers for Kanui during the joint venture process.- Hands-on troubleshooting, containment and resolution/prevention of incidents in live environments on bothAWS (cloud) and Level3 (on premise) environments.- Cost saving with ChatOps + Lambda to turn on/off development stack and to run serverless BDD (JavaSelenium).- POC and adherence test of new technologies.

Kanui is a subsidiary of GFG since mid 2015. Before GFG’s acquisition, I worked as Tech Lead:- Design and development of our custom CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, Bamboo, Ansible).- Defined the agile process and served as scrum master.- Software architecture definition, code reviews and release management.- Performance tuning for our relational databases; from application queries to data modeling.- DevOps, monitoring and Incidents troubleshooting.- Migration from bare-metal servers to cloud (AWS). During this project, we've also changed the systems tofavor horizontal scalability over the legacy vertical monolithic architecture.

Solutions for plugins demand within the Wordpress environment, making it possible to use the blog engine to deliver as much as a Portal CMS could do.Also, created solutions for specific campaigns, like country-wide TV show enrollment and polling, world events, like London Olympic Games' real time data delivery, and reusable web components for Wordpress.Many partner data integration and ETLs were part of my job too.Great highlights in my experience in the R7 Portal, was the opportunity to design and develop solutions with Amazons Web Services (AWS), such as ElastiCache, Simple Queue Service (SQS), Simple Storage Service (S3) and Relational Database Service (RDS).As part of our infrastructure, it was pretty common to work with message queue solutions, like RabbitMQ, and cache layers, like Memcached and Redis.

Oracle Database modeling, analysis and performance enhancement by SQL-tuning. Development of PL/SQL packages for big data transformation, views and overall database objects maintenance.Also worked with C# (Win Forms and Web - MVC 4) creating a report platform for data delivery, integrated to Zensys' softwares.Got in touch with GeneXus technologies and some of ARTech solutions.

Development of database solutions, with ANSI SQL, PLpgSQL and POSIX Regular Expressions.

Tight integration with Oracle and Postgres features. Namely, PostreSQL data ETL.PLpgSQL packages, views and data manipulation jobs.
