Involved in on-call duties, production releases, interviewing potential talents to join the team and acting as developer in a scrum team. In this role, I had the opportunity to contribute to topics such as continuous delivery pipeline, feature development, performance tests and application infrastructure.

Responsible for the Account based Fraud System in a highly scalable micro-transaction platform. I have re-written the Fraud System to track and block fraudulent behavior based on a complex set of constraints that can be changed at run-time.

Worked on a Java Framework for GIS (Geographic Information System) based applications. The framework is responsible for providing all the infrastructure needed to create reliable, secure and extensible applications to manage the entire telecom network of the major carriers located in Brazil, US, Chile and other countries. The main feature of the framework is metadata management, which allows the user to create new components by analyzing metadata in terms of objects and behaviors.

In this position I was able to understand the details about the integration of all the Java EE specs by creating and troubleshooting applications using EJB, JPA, JSF and some third part API's. I also had the opportunity to work with the innovation team, prototyping new solutions for the Electric and Telecom sector, based in technologies for Data Mining and OLAP (On-Line Analytical processing).

Responsible for managing Software Environment and creating reports of the Unix servers running the Company's software. Availability and Database's inconsistencies were the main issues that I had to track during my time as a Help Desk Analyst. Client relationship was still taking good part of the process. I was able to improve my knowledge on the Unix operational System, Database modeling and shell programming.

As in intern, my role was to help troubleshooting the issues regarding the availability of a solution based on Unix environment and Oracle database. For that, I had to develop shell scripts, tune SQL queries and track some critical points of performance. Client relationship was on daily basis which helped me to see things from a different perspective. The most challenging task in this position was to give a first quick solution for a series of different problems in order to increase Costumer satisfaction. It was a great experience to develop my skills in Software Environment, Unix, Oracle databases, Shell scripting, PL/SQL programming and Costumer relationship.

Office assistant (mailing, suplies, documents). Worked full-time and attended high-school at night. My first paycheck at 16 years old. This is where I fell in love with computer science from seeing what the day to day looks like.
