This included creating new channels, which I grew to over 4000 followers in less than a month, and an associated app, which was downloaded over 5000 times in less than three months.In my role as a general marketing manager, I was responsible for overseeing the creative and campaign roll-out, working closely with multiple creative agencies to ensure cohesive end-products under strict time constraints. My role focused on educating greyhound racing participants and ensuring effective communication channels, including websites, email, SMS, social media, posters, and flyers. These channels were primarily used to inform participants of projects that resulted from the ORIC review and CEO stakeholder engagement sessions, as well as to promote fan engagement and key events.- During a crisis period, I was tasked with organizing and leading a series of participant engagement sessions to dispel rumors about the Draft Code of Practice that was set to be released later that year. This initiative helped GRV regain control of the narrative and strengthened relationships with the participant body (GOTBA). It also gave participants the opportunity to provide feedback, which resulted in valuable insights for GRV to address.- Together with the Animal Welfare and Legal teams, my team and I developed a series of initiatives using traditional and digital marketing platforms to inform participants of key changes. This education process was praised for its seamless transition and its ability to ensure GRV's communication was the single source of truth.- In an effort to make greyhounds the star of the show, my team and I developed a series of promotion campaigns that helped familiarize fans with star greyhounds and promoted the sport to new customers. I gained a lot of experience in quality control and making sure deliveries were on time. My defining moment at the company was when I was given the responsibility of looking after a small team in a temporary warehouse in order to get out all the summer range of clothing and wetsuits whilst our manager was away. This accumulated to hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of stock, which was sent to many retail stores nationwide in 3 days. It was here that I first discovered my love for marketing and all things related to branding. This in turn convinced me to pursue a degree in commerce.
